You are likely to have to deal with 3 categories of people: your gas supplier, who sells you the gas and bills you; a “Natural Gas Professional” (PGN)1 for your indoor installation; and GrDF, which manages the infrastructure and access to the natural gas distribution system. When are you likely to meet someone from GrDF?
1 This is the title given in France to installers of natural gas powered equipment who meet the required qualification and competency criteria
To help you find your way around the fast-changing world of energy, your GrDF customer service representatives are there to tell you about natural gas and guide you in making the energy choice that’s best for you.
You can call them at 0033 3 20 25 85 25 (from 7 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday) whenever you have a question, especially:
Our customer service representatives in charge of developing the network can work with you to examine the feasibility of your plans to connect to the grid. They will consider the specific features of your plan, advising on technical solutions for natural gas and on connecting to the distribution network.
They will then carry out the work needed to connect your home to the natural gas grid.
Our technical staff will bring your home’s natural gas installation into service, then read the metres on your supplier’s behalf. The supplier will then bill you based on the metre reading.
Your safety is obviously a priority for us. Our teams respond round the clock, seven days a week, to emergency calls from all of the network’s customers, regardless of their energy supplier.
